I’m Ellie,  I'm about seven years  old and I lived on Main Street in Deep Ellum for a long time as a homeless poor sick dog. Several people tried to catch me, but I was always to smart and quick to get away. I was finally rescued from Deep Ellum on October 23 by a PAL volunteer who tried for a week to catch me, with hot dogs and other yummy foods; but it took PAL’s live animal trap to catch me. Lucky, lucky, me; the vet said I would have died in 96 hours because I was very very sick. I had Pymetra, a urinary infection, from having had too many litters of pups and not having been spayed. I had a 50/50 chance of survival from the surgery, but I made it. The bad news for the PAL group is -- I ran up a very large vet bill of $1,087.00. Wow, I know that sounds like a lot and it is.  PAL and I need your help please.
